The strangest shaped world we know. Haumea spins so fast, one full turn in under four hours, that it has been pulled into the shape of a flattened egg. A long ago collision probably set it spinning, broke off its two little moons, and left a whole family of icy fragments on similar orbits. It even wears a thin ring, the first ever found around a dwarf planet.
