The comet people have watched for more than two thousand years. Edmond Halley was the first to realize that several recorded comets were actually the same one coming back, and he predicted its return. He did not live to see it, but the comet arrived right on schedule and has carried his name ever since. Many grandparents saw it in 1986; you could see it in 2061.
