The most famous dwarf planet, a world of ice with a giant heart shaped glacier made of frozen nitrogen. Pluto is smaller than our Moon, and its biggest companion Charon is so large that the two circle each other like dance partners. When the New Horizons probe flew past in 2015, Pluto turned out to be far more varied and beautiful than anyone had dared to hope.
