The crater that makes Mimas the solar system's Star Wars cosplayer: Herschel spans a third of the little moon's face, with a central peak nearly as tall as Everest. The impact came close to splitting Mimas entirely; shock fractures run through to the opposite side. One more notch of force, and Saturn would have gained a new ring instead of keeping a moon.
