SEEN 1572OBSERVED BY Tycho Brahe

In 1572 a new star blazed up in Cassiopeia, bright enough to see in daylight. The young astronomer Tycho Brahe measured it carefully and proved it stood far beyond the Moon, among the supposedly eternal and unchangeable stars. That single observation cracked the ancient worldview wide open. The glowing bubble of debris still expands today.
