An icy world named after the creation force of the Tongva people of California. Quaoar surprised everyone with a thin ring that circles much farther out than the rules of gravity say a ring can survive; by the textbook, that material should have clumped into a moon long ago. Nature clearly has not read the textbook, and scientists love puzzles like this.
