The telescope that changed how we picture the universe. Above the blurring air, Hubble photographed galaxies billions of light years away, watched stars being born, and helped measure the age of the universe. Its first images were fuzzy because the main mirror had been ground ever so slightly wrong, so astronauts flew up and fitted it with glasses. After that, the pictures became legendary.
