Europe's dark detective. Euclid is photographing billions of galaxies across a third of the sky to build a giant 3D map of the cosmos. The shapes and positions of all those galaxies carry the fingerprints of dark matter and dark energy, the invisible 95 percent of the universe. Euclid's job is to catch those fingerprints.
