Eris

The world that demoted Pluto. When Eris was found in 2005, it turned out to be about Pluto's size and even heavier, so astronomers faced a choice: either call Eris the tenth planet, or rethink the word planet entirely. They chose the second, and the category dwarf planet was born. Fittingly, Eris is named after the Greek goddess of discord.
