STAR SYSTEM · the little she goat
The bright golden star high in the northern winter sky is not one star at all. Capella is a close pair of yellow giant stars circling each other every 104 days, escorted at a distance by a second pair of faint red dwarfs. Four suns sharing one point of light. Its friendly old name means the little she goat, and it rides on the shoulder of the Charioteer.
