A young super Jupiter plowing through the celebrated dust disk of Beta Pictoris, warping it visibly. Astronomers photographed the planet on one side of the star, watched it vanish behind the glare, and reappear on the other side: a full half orbit, documented. Its day is short and furious, with a measured rotation faster than any planet in our system.
