A giant planet circling a white dwarf, the burned out core of a dead star, and here the planet is several times larger than its own sun. It must have migrated inward after the star's violent red giant phase, somehow surviving the chaos. Proof that planets can outlive their stars, which raises a personal question: some of our planets will outlive the Sun too.
