One of the Milky Way's two main arms, sweeping from the central bar far around the galaxy's other side. It hosts some of the most extreme objects known, including monster stars like UY Scuti and dense factories of starbirth. If the Milky Way had a main boulevard, this would be it; we live in a quieter side street.
