The grand arm between us and the galactic center, packed with the showpieces of the summer sky: the Lagoon, Trifid and Eagle nebulae all live here. When you sweep binoculars through Sagittarius and the star clouds seem endless, you are looking through this arm, lengthwise into the busiest avenue we can see.
