ALSO CALLED the Northern CrossTAIL STAR Deneb

A great swan flying south along the glowing band of the Milky Way, wings outstretched, with brilliant Deneb at its tail and the gorgeous double star Albireo at its beak. Seen another way it is the Northern Cross, standing upright on the horizon on Christmas evenings. The Kepler telescope stared into Cygnus for years; thousands of known exoplanets live within this constellation.
