GLOBULAR CLUSTER · the elder beauty
Considered by many observers the most beautiful globular of the northern sky, and one of the oldest objects we can see: M5 formed when the universe was young, almost three times the age of the Sun. Telescopes show cascades of stars spilling from its blazing core like frozen fireworks.
