The closest globular cluster to Earth, an easy telescope target right next to the red star Antares. Hubble peered into M4 and found some of the oldest white dwarfs known, burned out stars almost as old as the universe itself, plus a planet that formed when the cosmos was young: evidence that worlds have been forming nearly forever.
