The telescope that proved planets are everywhere. Kepler stared at one patch of sky for years, watching 150,000 stars for the tiny dip in brightness when a planet crosses in front. It found thousands, including small rocky worlds in habitable zones. Thanks to Kepler we know the galaxy holds more planets than stars.
