SIZE about 330 mMISSION Hayabusa, first asteroid samples ever

A little peanut of loose boulders and gravel, shaped a bit like a swimming sea otter. Japan's first Hayabusa probe fought through breakdowns and near disasters, touched down here, and in 2010 brought the first asteroid dust ever back to Earth, a triumph of stubbornness. Itokawa showed us that many asteroids are not solid rocks but flying rubble piles.
