The outermost of Pluto's little moons, named after the many headed serpent of Greek legend. Hydra gleams with surprisingly clean water ice, fresher than scientists expected for such an old little body. Like its sibling Nix, it tumbles chaotically through its orbit at the edge of the Pluto family.
