ASTEROID MOON · the one we moved
The first celestial body humanity has ever deliberately moved. In September 2022, NASA's DART spacecraft slammed into this little moonlet of the asteroid Didymos at over 22,000 km/h, on purpose, and shortened its orbit by half an hour. The test proved that with enough warning we could nudge a dangerous asteroid off course. Planetary defense is no longer science fiction.
