The slightly fainter partner, circling its sibling in a leisurely 700 year orbit. The pair is nicknamed the Flying Star because of how fast it crosses our sky, a hint of closeness that inspired Bessel to attempt his famous distance measurement here, and not on some brighter, farther showpiece.
