One of only a handful of known sednoids, worlds whose orbits never come anywhere near the planets. Its perihelion is the most distant known, and how it got marooned out there is a genuine mystery; a hidden ninth planet is one suspect. The nickname came from its license plate letters VP, which matched a certain vice president.
